Country: Cameroon # 601405.GRCameroon knows how to play winning football CommentsRoss Mcginn says... i often have felt that guides are not up to the standard, but this is by far the WORST guidebook i've EVER bought. this is not to say that there is absolutely no practical information, but it's so scarce.it's hard to believe the author ever tried to do independant travelling himself.besides - it's so OUTDATED (usual problem in the content like Africa, but it should not be the case when using a book in Dec/Jan that claims to be published in July).there are much better ways to waste money than buying this book - try the french petit fute, or i found a bilingual book in cameroun "a practical guide ..." Good history overview and description of plants/wildlife to look out for. Also useful are several trip itineraries (1 week, 2 weeks, 3 weeks, and 4 weeks).Obviously, the exchange rate is out of date, but thats no fault of the publisher. The information so far looks good, but we'll see how accurate it is in a few weeks.I've had Lonely Planet books that have upside-down/mislabelled maps, so I'm hoping that this one avoids those errors. He was thrilled with the book and felt it would give them lots of good information and ideas about seeing the country. Posted on September 8, 2011 Lekisha Barryman says... The book includes very detailed information.I'm hoping it will help during a three week, independent trip through Cameroon. Posted on September 9, 2011 Leave a Comment |
