You can check TripAdvisor.com for comments from past guests about hotels anywhere.Don't think you'd want a "cheap" hotel, from a safety standpoint.
If you're staying there because a family member is admitted to JH, check with the Social Services department at the hospital.Hospitals sometimes have special arrangements with hotels for such cases.There may also be a "Ronald McDonald" house nearby.
