I am a natural born citizen Costa Rica With A dual citizenship From The US.I want to go to Costa Rica "during the winters here in NJ and sell houses. I am bilingual and know Costa Rica well, I want to order Focus on the tourist area.Do I need to take a class there? Any info IS greatfull!

You do not have to be a resident or citizen; anyone can open up a real estate business in CR.And because of this agents are a dime a dozen. All you need is something to sell, lease or buy (and of course money) and you don't even need a sign on the door that you are a real estate agent. No permits, schooling or business license is required; however, it is recommended that if there are some local classes on CR real estate, take one.
If you plan to get into the market, it is best to get a good attorney, to make sure the title is clear. Many agents are scam artists and titles have been forged since there is no regulating agency as there is in the US.And make sure if you do work for someone that you establish a contract on commissions, which is between 4-8%.
