Burkina-Faso is located in North West Africa.It was previously known as Upper Volta.It is a Francophile country with strong ties to Paris.It is a struggling developing country with limited tourist facilities.It is land-locked with a dry desert climate and water supply issues.It's neighbors are Mali and Niger to the East and West.Life exectancy was one of the lowest in the world several years ago at something like mid 40's for women and even lower for men.Several nations (ie. tribes) are located in the country with one of the most well-known, the Bobo, best known for their wood-carvings.The capital is Ougadougou.Best bet is the Air France flight from Paris which when I last booked for a client ran several days a week from Charles De Gualle airport.
