| Targus CPT400 17 Platinum Deluxe Notebook CasePosted on March 8, 2011. Targus CPT400 17 "Platinum Deluxe Notebook CaseCommentsJanetta Hinckle says... This case is not only designed well with many features, but is a perfect fit for my Dell Inspiron 9300 Notebook.I am really pleased with my purchase and would encourage anyone who is looking for a case for the Inspiron 9300 to look no further than this case!!! Posted on March 8, 2011 Dominque Caughell says... I just bought this notebook case for my Dell Inspiron 9300, and I'm very pleased with it. My Amazon order arrived early without a hitch. The laptop fits snugly into the main compartment with a velcro hold down strap. My mouse, CD's for data backup and cables fit into the internal pocketed compartments. The charger/power cord fits into a separate bag and gets placed along with the laptop. So enough room for all my accessories. The case is sturdy, with what seems to be a steel reinforcement bar and lots of padding. It's going to be a bit heavy when fully loaded with laptop and accessories. The case looks very nice;better than in its photographs. Posted on March 9, 2011 Barrie Boeger says... This case fits easily 15.4" widescreen laptops and you still can place battery on the side. A 17" laptop would probably fit too (I never tried), but the battery won't into the main compartment. Most stores like BestBuy or CircuitCity have this case on display so if you want to use this case for 17" laptop, go to the store and check it out. But buy it here, it's $60 in the stores... (currently the price on amazon is $46.54) For smaller laptops (14" or 15") check out CBT300 Targus case. Main compartment of this notebook case has two parts with adjustable width: a bigger part is used for laptop itself, and smaller one can be used for battery and power unit. A little nice zipped bag for these two is included. In the middle of the main compartment there is a strap that fixes a laptop in place and it feels really secure. There are two zipped pockets for files and documents - one inside and one outside. There are two more pockets outside, I used them to put there magazines when I travel. Overall, this case has very solid feel and is really well padded. The rubber Compu-Tread that runs on the outside of the case (bottom and sides when standing) is very good protection. One thing that might be of concern is that shoulder strap cannot be adjusted to be really short. I experimented and the shortest I got was 3'6" (provided, you want to keep padded part of it in the middle). For people shorter than medium height that could be a problem. Other than that I am really happy with this case. It looks stylish and slim, goes well with both casual and business attire. And Targus has lifetime warranty on it. I would recommend it 100%! This is a good case, spacious enough to hold a big screen laptop and several books. good quality textile. I recommend this to everyone. But if you have a moderate size laptop, below 15 inch screen, do not buy this bag. This is really big for it. This bag is only good with a big laptop. Plenty of pockets and zippered mesh storage for all the goodies that go along with lappy. Very nice quality as most of the Targus stuff is. I love it with my Targus bluetooth mouse also. This bag was purchased for a 15.4 inch notebook computer for the following reasons: (1) While in transit I am able to open it and enjoy the convenience of being able to work while my PC is still being protected by the protective side padding of the bag. (2) There are a number of compartments and pockets that makes the storage of CD, mouse, power adaptor, chill pad, documents etc. the perfect carry case for the business person. (3) There is a very convenient padded cell phone pouch that is located on the front side of the bag. What makes it very unique is, with the slide of a zipper, the phone is easily accessible and when it is returned and zipped up, it is inconspicuous underneath the top flap/pocket which provides a measure of additional protection. (4) At the bottom of the bag there is a rubber base which extends to the side. The side rubber provides some protection for what's inside from the inevitable forward collision. I discovered after purchase that the carry strap and handle were quite comfortable. All in all, this is an excellent buy. Posted on March 12, 2011 Gwenn Zink says... It fit my 15' notebook well. But the bag itself is heavy. I recommended this bag to strong men. Anyway it is a good computer bag, strong, spaceful and a lot of pockets to let you easily organize. The bag has a separate space with a pouch to accommodate the cable, and there is room for papers and other items as well. It's tough and provides good protection, yet handles easily.Because of this one, I bought another Targus (smaller one) for one of my children's laptops also. Well done on this product! Posted on March 14, 2011 Reita Kroh says... I recently bought this case to hold my 17" HP7000 notebook and it's almost like it was made for it. It has a good amount of storage on it -- nice big pouch in front that I have to use for my power adapter. It also has other pockets in the pouch for pens, etc. The inside has plenty of addition pockets for cd's, business cards and more, and the padding in nice and thick for protecting the computer. The back has another small pouch for paper, and also an additional zipped compartment with a separator for important papers. I'm very impressed by the all metal hardware and the large rubber padding on the bottom edges. This is an excellent case, and the price is a huge bonus.I found it recommended on a forum and am glad that I took their advice, and wanted to pass that along. The only con that I found is that if you've got a 17" notebook and you want to bring along your power adapter and an additional battery, you will run out of room.Aside from that, go for it! Posted on March 14, 2011 Anjelica Cutrona says... I must to say that this duluxe notebook case is too large for my 14" dell 600m. Those who have small laptops may need to choose a smaller carrying case instead this one. But it is a really good product. Posted on March 19, 2011 Leave a Comment |
