What Would Be A Good Day Trip From St John To The British Virgin IslandsPosted on December 5, 2010.  My family and I are Staying on St. John and we're interested in. Taking a day trip to the British Virgin Islands (any of the Three, Tortola, Virgin Gorda or Jost Van Dyke). The Most Of ferries leave around 8:30 pm and get back No Later Than 5pm, so it has to Be Something We Can Do in One Day. We Are Two adults and Two college-aged kids. We enjoy sightseeing, snorkeling, beaches, etc.. Any suggestion for Which island to visit and Some fun sites to visit? CommentsMiki Adamis says... Check out New Horizons and Breakaway. There owned by the same company but they take day trips over to the BVI! They'll take you to the baths in Virgin Gorda Lunch at marina cay off of tortola, some beach time on jost van dyke at the famous soggy dollar! and a snorkel spot which you do in the morning! Im pretty sure they go over ta st john ta pick up but you might have ta take the ferry over ta stt ta get the boat! There is also Limnos but i would recommend that for family with young kids or older people! so New Horizons or breakaway (both do the same thing) would be perfect!! have fun! and fyi all BVI trip leave super early like around 730am and you wouldnt find any that leave much later!
