Cornell Kokesh says...
Unfortunately, every website, including airline websites, occasionally has this problem.
Airlines offer many fares on each flight, each with a limited number of seats (except for the full price which can be any seat on the aircraft). Every travel website, travel agent, and airline agent has access to the same inventory. Let's say, for example, there are only two discount seats remaining at $212. The seats are not confirmed until you complete your reservation. In the meantime, someone else is looking for two seats on the same flight. The other person completes his reservation before you do. He gets the seats. When you complete yours, you get a message that no more seats are available along with the price for the remaining seats.
The same thing can happen if you go to a travel agent or even an airline website. It's frustrating, but that's how it works.
